Terms of Service
The agreement between you and Tap To Tip when you use the service.

What Tap To Tip is
Tap To Tip provides tip pages, NFC and QR collateral, and the software that connects them to a payment processor. We are a technology provider, not a bank and not a money transmitter. We do not hold your funds.
Accounts
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information on your account and for keeping your password confidential. One person or entity per account; you may not create an account on behalf of someone else without their authority.
Payments and payouts
Tips are processed by Stripe. Each recipient contracts directly with Stripe and must complete Stripe's identity verification before any payout can be made. Payout timing is determined by Stripe, not by us.
Tips are voluntary payments from a customer to a recipient. They are final once processed; refunds are at the recipient's discretion and are handled through Stripe.
Fees
Tap To Tip charges a 5% commission on each tip successfully processed, deducted at the time of payment. Stripe's own processing fee applies in addition. We will give notice before changing the commission rate.
Acceptable use
You may not use Tap To Tip to:
- Collect payments for anything other than voluntary gratuities for services performed
- Impersonate another person, business or team
- Process payments on behalf of a third party without disclosing it
- Do anything unlawful under the laws that apply to you
Team pages and pooled tips
Where a company operates a pooled page, the company receives the funds and is solely responsible for distributing them to its staff in line with its own policy and applicable employment law. We do not determine or administer that distribution.
Availability
We work to keep the service available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. Payment processing depends on Stripe and on the customer's own bank.
Ending the agreement
You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms or that presents a fraud or compliance risk. Tips already processed are unaffected.
